Pictures for Today

I know it's not market day (Tuesdays in Gooey), but lets start the day with a gratuitous cattle market picture anyway (Mel)

Gratuitous steam piccie...                         (John T'other)

That flying visit to the WGLR on Wednesday afternoon resulted in a few piccies. Thanks Mel and Alison for having me at such short notice. Not sure how much longer we would have stayed outside even if the chance had been there. By 'eck  it were parky...

The narrows are the obvious feature to photo but then the whole railway is very photogenic. It was great to see it in the flesh, even though I have watched the development closely, you never expect it to look exactly like it does.

The EMR's Hunslet and one brake compo were to hand when I realised I could perhaps pop in, so they were what travelled...

By running along the backs of the houses, it's possible to see the train as it progresses through narrows. Here's the sequence (I think!)... (JSJ)

A visitor to the F&StM today, en route to the Leodest & Larivane for some work to be carried out
