Bringing out the heavy duty track levelling equipment!

Breaking off the edge of the punga log retaining wall concrete footing which, if I remember correctly, was why I originally laid the track here some 25mm higher than it should have been.

Now relayed at a constant 1:45.5 grade over 8m, or 11mm rise every 500mm.  Very easy done with a fibre tape laid along the track centre line and levelled at each 500mm increment using the laser and staff (well a ruler taped to a level) to measure the required rise.  Apart from some shagging around getting the track right through a tunnel it is quicker than you may think.  Final levels probably +/- a millimetre or two but it's so much more easier to get it right with the right gear.  (JRinTawa)
